BEFORE / AFTER CAMP
What times am I able to drop off or pick up my child?
Before Camp is available from 7:30-8:45am located in the Lower School Dining Commons. After Camp is available from 4:00-6:00pm located in the Lower School Dining Commons
How do I sign up for it?
Our Before and After Camp is drop-in only and no prior notice is required. The cost of this service is $10.20/hour and families will be billed weekly by the Summer Business Office. Questions about before or after camp charges may be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
What will they be doing during this time?
Our Before and After Camp will follow the same inquiry based model as our summer camps. Students will have provocations provided daily as well as access to our expansive playground.
How do they get to camp or return from camp?
Before Camp drop off by parent ends at 8:45. Our summer assistant team escort students to their campes between 8:45-9:00am.
At 4:05, any student who is not picked up by their parent is brought to our After Camp program located in the Lower School Dining Commons.
LUNCH TIME / SNACK
Can you please describe the time between camps? 12:00-1:00.
Students PreK-8th grade will be supervised by staff in the dining hall, recess, and dismissal, and they must be signed out by an authorized adult. 9-12 grade students may eat lunch and dismiss themselves.
At 12:00, their morning instructor will bring them to the Dining Commons for lunch. In many cases, the instructor will stay and eat lunch with their camp on the first day. Our Summer Assistant Team supervises our lunch and dismissal to recess. Students are walked down to the Lower School playground around 12:30pm.
Students engage in recess and at 12:45, we gather to dismiss. Students are organized by PM Camps and Car Pick-Up. Please limit AM pick-up to 12:45 as to not disrupt this transition.
Students with a PM camp are escorted to their PM camp locations.
Will my child be provided a snack or should I bring one?
Your child is welcome to bring a nut-free (including items processed in a facility that contains nuts) snack & water bottle. OES is a nut-aware campus.
Where can I find the lunch menu?
The lunch menu will be made available on Friday for the following week. You child will have a couple options for lunch and we encourage you to look it over it with them before attending camp.
My child has a severe food allergy. What steps do I need to take as a parent?
Your child’s health and safety are our top priority. Please include this very important information through the parent portal registration page, under Medical Student Support Info.

How will my child be transported to their camp’s field trip?
OES provides transportation for all field trips. Depending on the size of the group, camps will take our OES vans and minibuses or our larger school buses. Transportation is provided by trained driving professionals.
Who will chaperone the trips?
Our field trips maintain a ratio of 1:6 for our K-5 students and 1:12 for 6-12th grade students. Instructors and our summer staff team maintain the ratios.
Are lunches provided on all field trips?
Yes, bon appetit will provide sack lunches for any field trip.
