Welcoming the world of storytelling through the magic of puppets, students will learn how to create Rod and Marionette puppets. After receiving a brief history of puppetry, they will learn two types of construction making puppets out of a self-hardening clay. The puppets will be painted, costumed, and marionettes strung. Character development and puppet manipulation is also a part of this class. Each student will leave with two Rod puppets, one marionette puppet, and much laughter!
