Learn to create your own batik fabric designs as we explore layering pattern and color. Students will use brushes and metal objects in hot beeswax to stamp patterns on fabric. The fabric will be dyed, batiked and then overdyed in layers to create interesting patterns. We will also learn an ancient technique from Japan called Gyotaku. Come explore fun techniques to add your own stamp to your fabrics, t-shirts, bags etc…!

When Sylvie is not teaching children, she is working at designing t-shirts and accessories at smilegiverbatik to help orphans with the proceeds from the sales of the items she creates.

Cost: $210

All students attending Before and After camp, AM and PM camps will be supervised during transitions.
