Lauriel Amoroso earned her B.A. in Environmental and Cultural Studies from the Evergreen State College and her Master’s in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College. She also earned a graduate certificate in Environmental Education from the University of Idaho. Lauriel is a passionate naturalist and teacher, who has been exploring the natural wonders of Pacific NW her whole life. She loves finding quiet places to observe the world around her while learning about the local plants and animals she encounters. As an elementary and middle school teacher, she focuses on using inquiry and exploration to spark curiosity in her students and she loves helping young people connect to nature through exploration, journaling, making art, and learning to carefully observe the world. Additionally, Lauriel loves to help developing writers unleash their creative potential and explore their sense of identity by using writing as a tool for self expression and self actualization.
